Hi, Liberty Phillips here.
Let’s talk about transportation. One hundred years ago our great grandparents walked to the county store for supplies (actually, they probably sent the kids!). If it was too far to walk, they rode on a horse. Along came the automobile and, within a single generation, everything had changed. Today the car is an indispensable asset for every family. Here in southern New Hampshire, as is true in rural areas throughout America, just about every family needs at least one car since everything is so spread out. But for some families, especially those living in more highly populated areas, the full-time cost of maintaining a vehicle—or perhaps a second vehicle—just doesn’t make sense when they can turn to the “rideshare” industry to hire an Uber or Lyft driver to take them where they need to go. It’s easy to understand how a concierge service like Liberty Errand Service can be helpful in tending to the needs of a family or small business. What about tending to your personal transportation when you need to get to a medical appointment, or a ride to the airport? Sure, you can always call Uber or Lyft, and to their credit a background check is conducted of all drivers allowed on their platforms. But you still never know who you’re going to get when your rideshare driver shows up.
What about having your precious child or parent driven to a special event in the back seat of an aging vehicle being driven through the dark by a total stranger who may be using drugs? And speeding because they have a personal income quota to reach? DRIVING MISS MARY Mary is 60 years old and has started to need a little help in her life. Today she needs a ride to a medical appointment that will require two hours. We pick Mary up at home, drop her off at the medical center, stop by the post office to mail a letter for her, then head to the grocery store to do Mary’s shopping. We head back to her medical appointment to pick her up on time, then drive her to her apartment where we carry her groceries in and put them away in the fridge for her… and maybe even prepare her dinner. After making sure that Mary’s home or apartment is safely locked for the night, we text Mary’s daughter to let her know that Mary is OK and we head back to the office. Another good deed done, and it feels good to help. Got a Mary in your life? Call Liberty! Sincerely, Me ;-) Liberty Phillips Chief Errand Officer (CEO) www.LibertyErrandService.com GIVE THE GIFT OF TIME! Buy a block of time from Liberty Errand Service and gift as many hours as you like to someone else. Imagine their surprise when we call to offer some free help! What could we do for them? Feeling stressed? Raise the white flag!
Hi! I’m Liberty. I’m 22 years old and have lived in New Hampshire my entire life. I’ve always had a deep interest in, and fascination with psychology and human behavior. While working as a young woman in various positions in the food service industry I met and conversed with thousands of different individuals about their daily lives and what drive them. These interactions gave me immense clarity and understanding about the human experience; that we’re not nearly as separated or different from each other as we may think. Much of what I heard reflected the often overwhelming schedules of people who feel stuck in a “continuous loop” of work and bills. In our modern society, work-and-hustle culture is often put on a pedestal above relaxation, mental and physical health and overall joy in a struggle to remain financially above water. In striving for a balanced life I decided to change my path and turn to the freedom of self-employment. What else could I do with a name like Liberty!? I have always known that my true calling in life was to help other individuals, and by creating Liberty Errand Service I hope to change the lives of those around me for the better. Whether this entails cleaning your home or business, de-cluttering or reorganizing your space, watching over your fur babies with the utmost care and love, babysitting your children while giving you time back for yourself, picking up and shopping for your weekly needs, or senior caretaking and companionship, (the list is endless), it is my mission to make a significant difference and a lasting impact within any possible aspect of your life. Day-to-day living can feel overwhelming sometimes. I believe that one of the most transparent things an individual can put forth is transparency, including asking for help even when it’s hardest to do so. From overdue and unfulfilled tasks, to a junk drawer turned into a junk room, if you feel that your life has become unmanageable, perhaps even a little chaotic, that’s where we come in! Why not relieve yourself of a little stress and raise the white flag. Liberty to the rescue! 💪 Liberty Phillips Chief Errand Officer (CEO) www.LibertyErrandService.com ABOUT Liberty Errand Service is a family and small business errand and concierge service dedicated to caring, quality service at a price you can afford.
Hi, Liberty Phillips here.
I hope you’re having an organized and efficient day! When we first decided to start Liberty Errand Service we went online to see that a number of other similar errand service businesses existed throughout the United States, so we certainly weren’t the first. So we did what all new businesses do: we created a website, ordered some business cards and whipped up some flyers. But I still couldn’t help but wonder… what will people in southern New Hampshire think of this idea? And that’s when the fun began. I would run into extended family members or old friends from school and they would ask me what I was doing. I would explain that our family had started Liberty Errand Service to cater to the errands, chores and other needs of busy families and small businesses, kinda’ like a hotel concierge. The usual reaction I would receive was, “Really! No way! That’s amazing! What a cool idea! Wow, I bet every family could use that.” As you might imagine, this was pretty exciting and gave me encouragement that we were definitely on the right track. Then we got to thinking about referrals. Since people got excited about this concept, what could we do to reward them for referring us to their friends and family? And what’s when the Liberty Freedom Hour was born. Here is how it works. Imagine that you refer a new client to us. Maybe they need some grocery shopping done, or the need their car taken to the dealer, or they need a ride to a medical appointment. Once they have accumulated four (4) total hours of paid service, you get a Liberty Freedom Hour for yourself for having referred them. This hour now belongs to you! You can use it any way you like (need your garden weeded or your fence painted?). You can even gift you Liberty Freedom Hour it to someone else! After all, the greatest gift in life is time. Wouldn’t it be great to give someone else an hour back of their time? Got a friend or family member with a birthday or wedding coming up? What better gift than a Liberty Freedom Hour? Got questions? Call Liberty! Sincerely, Me 😉 Liberty Phillips Chief Errand Officer (CEO) www.LibertyErrandService.com ABOUT Liberty Errand Service is a family and small business errand and concierge service dedicated to caring, quality service at a price you can afford.
Hi, Liberty Phillips here.
This week I thought I’d share some fun, personal thoughts about growing this business. When I started Liberty Errand Service I tried to imagine all of the helpful things that we could do to assist busy families and small businesses. My dad and I made a list of all of the chores, errands and services that we could provide, and then—since a tidy list is a happy list!—we even alphabetized it… lol. Last week I wrote about how babysitting can apply, not just to children, but to cars and even to furnaces and appliances. As we started picking up clients and requests for our various errand and concierge services, we began receiving emails like the following: “Hi, Liberty. We’re leaving on vacation next week. Just curious. Could you come over and feed our dog twice a day? Maybe take her outdoors for a walk, throw a ball around and give her some exercise?” “Sure,” we said, “we’d love to.” Twice a day we stopped by to give a playful pooch some water, food and exercise, and a whole lot of love and attention. A week later we got this in our email from our favorite residential client: “Hi, Liberty. We’ll be out of town for a week. We have a guinea pig (name withheld to protect guinae pig privacy). Could you please feed him while you’re at our place doing your weekly cleaning and organization?” Absolutely! We whipped up a special salad of carrots, kale, spring mix, cranberry treats and vitamin C for optimal daily guinea pig nutrition! Then came this (wait for it…) “Hi Liberty, We’ll be out of town next week. Could you please stop by and take care of our two dogs, one cat, a bearded dragon, six parakeets, sixteen tropical fish and a frog?” I’ve attached detailed instructions on feeding for each.” So now we’re up to three dogs, one cat, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon, six parakeets, sixteen tropical fish and a frog. Maybe we should rebrand as Liberty’s Animal Farm? Why not? We adore animals of all size, shapes and descriptions! Heck, we’re more than happy to do ANYTHING for your family or small business that you could do yourself (if only there were 25 hours in a day ;-).
Let’s talk babysitting. Does babysitting always involve babies? Not at all! At Liberty Errand Service we do all kinds of “babysitting.” We can watch children of any age, keep a close eye on things, take them out to play, prepare their meals and even clean up while you enjoy dinner out. We can “babysit” your cat, pooch, iguana or other family pet by stopping by (even twice a day) to provide them with some food, water and love. We can play with them, walk them (OK, maybe not the iguana) and make sure everything is OK. We can check in on the seniors in your life, provide a little conversation and companionship, and attend to their needs—even take them grocery shopping or to get their nails done. We can “babysit” your car while it’s getting repaired, then drive it back home for you. We can even “babysit” your furnace, your hot water heater, hot tub, Internet connection, roof or driveway while they’re getting repaired, then report back to you when all is well. So, as you can see, we do all kinds of babysitting. Yeah, baby! Call Liberty at (603) 696-4280 Hi, Liberty Phillips here.
Are you particular about the companies you do business with? I sure am! I want to know that I’m forking over my hard-earned money to a service provider who cares about me as a person (…not just another account). I want a provider who is excellent at what they do, who offers reasonable pricing and who does a quality job... on time, and as promised! Are we on the same page here? INTRODUCING “LIBERTY’S LIST” At Liberty Errand Service we are experts at handling the huge list of available chores, tasks, errands and other services for families and small businesses that you can learn about here. But some services like accounting, tax preparation, landscaping and travel arrangements are best left to the experts. Then there are the licensed professionals in the community whom we have grown to love and trust. Anyone need a quality, caring naturopath? How about a quality, caring tax preparer? Ha! MAKING TAXES LESS TAXING Taxes are just another cost of doing business in America. Sure, the federal government depends on our “voluntary compliance,” but that doesn’t mean we need to volunteer a penny more than necessary! Tax avoidance simply means taking advantage of every possible deduction the law allows. Quite frankly, this is an area where many tax preparers are behind on the latest changes in the tax laws, or just plain lazy. The problem is that you pay for their laziness or lack of expertise. Another important point: ideally, you want the person who keeps the books and does the accounting for your family or small business to be the same person who does the taxes. This person needs to be totally familiar with your income, investments, assets, debts, retirement goals and more. That way they can maintain a wide-angle, top-to-bottom view on your entire financial world; to make the best recommendations and keep you paying as little as possible. (Or maybe you’d like to pay MORE? … lol) INTRODUCING JOE CONDI Joseph Condi has been operating J. Condi Accounting, Bookkeeping & Tax Service in Penacook, New Hampshire since 2010. Prior to that Joe was Senior Accountant at Yankee Publishing, publisher of world famous, Yankee Magazine. In addition to using Joe’s tax preparation services himself, my dad has referred numerous clients to Joe over the years and they can’t say enough good things about him. Joe is reliable, responsive, courteous and most important of all, he will help you take every possible deduction the law allows to keep your tax exposure as low as possible. Here is what a local wellness professional had to say after we recently referred them to Joe and they met on ZOOM for the first time: “Joe is great! Thank you. We had a fantastic meeting. I feel we’re in good hands. Much appreciate you facilitating that introduction.” BOTTOM LINE If your accountant or tax preparer isn’t quite doing it for you, give Joseph Condi a call at (603) 753-8322. Joe will be happy to schedule a complimentary ZOOM call to introduce himself, to explain his service offerings, and to see whether he might be able to make your situation a little less taxing! And be sure to tell him Liberty sent you! www.LibertyErrandService.com P.S. In case you know of anyone across America who needs a fresh look at their bookkeeping and tax preparation profile, Joe is a registered IRS tax preparer and can service taxpayers in all 50 states. Call Liberty at (603) 696-4280 Hi everyone, Liberty Phillips here.
I’m so excited to see our business taking off and I want to thank each of you who has provided us with referrals and testimonials from the bottom of my heart. Your kind words have been wonderful and much appreciated! When people visit the services pages on our website they’re often astounded at the long list of services, chores and tasks we can perform for busy families and small businesses. For a list of family services click here. For business services click here. For senior services click here. Over just the past few months we’ve driven clients to Logan Airport and back; checked in weekly on a lovely lady who needs a little help with activities of living; walked a very friendly dog; done grocery shopping for a very nice family; cleaned an entire medical office each week; cleaned several residences weekly and organized some garages and basements. People talk about the “45 second elevator pitch” that you’re supposed to have ready when someone new asks, “So what do you do?” I tell them: “We perform errands, and serve as a concierge for busy families and small businesses, saving them time and stress. We can do pretty much anything that you can do for yourself, except now you don’t have to!” If they’re interested for more, I say, “Imagine if an imaginary family member or employee suddenly materialized and was willing to tackle everything on your “to do” list. How much easier would that make your life? The only difference is, that we’re not imaginary!” PROBLEMS Scenario #1: Imagine that your home washing machine just broke, the kids’ dirty clothes are piling up, and you need to get it fixed, pronto! How are you going to arrange to meet the repair person when you work 40 hours a week (with a part-time job on the weekend), and they don’t do evening repairs? Scenario #2: You’ve been putting off servicing your car because you’ve been so busy. Now annual inspection is approaching and that dashboard warning light is still lit! How on earth are you going to find the time to take it to the repair shop or dealer, then wait for it… or have to come back and pick it up later? SOLUTIONS Call Liberty! We’ll come pick your car up right in your driveway or place of business, take it to the dealership, wait for it to be repaired (if expected to be fairly quick), or come back later and pick it up when it’s ready. Then we’ll drive it back to where we found it. And if there are any important repair details for you to know about, we’ll be sure to let you know. We can even schedule the repair appointment itself! Maybe you’d like us to take your car to be vacuumed and detailed and run through a brushless carwash? Or get the oil changed? We’ll take it to Valvoline (or your choice of service facility) and get it taken care of, no problem. HAPPINESS! Imagine how great it would feel to get nagging items like these off of your “to do” list? We love the work that we do because it always involves helping other people and making their lives a little better. What better way could there be to make a living! OK, thanks for reading, and I’ll be back again next week with some more tips and ideas on making your life or small business a little better, and lot more organized!
