Hi, Liberty Phillips here.
Let’s talk about transportation. One hundred years ago our great grandparents walked to the county store for supplies (actually, they probably sent the kids!). If it was too far to walk, they rode on a horse. Along came the automobile and, within a single generation, everything had changed. Today the car is an indispensable asset for every family. Here in southern New Hampshire, as is true in rural areas throughout America, just about every family needs at least one car since everything is so spread out. But for some families, especially those living in more highly populated areas, the full-time cost of maintaining a vehicle—or perhaps a second vehicle—just doesn’t make sense when they can turn to the “rideshare” industry to hire an Uber or Lyft driver to take them where they need to go. It’s easy to understand how a concierge service like Liberty Errand Service can be helpful in tending to the needs of a family or small business. What about tending to your personal transportation when you need to get to a medical appointment, or a ride to the airport? Sure, you can always call Uber or Lyft, and to their credit a background check is conducted of all drivers allowed on their platforms. But you still never know who you’re going to get when your rideshare driver shows up.
What about having your precious child or parent driven to a special event in the back seat of an aging vehicle being driven through the dark by a total stranger who may be using drugs? And speeding because they have a personal income quota to reach? DRIVING MISS MARY Mary is 60 years old and has started to need a little help in her life. Today she needs a ride to a medical appointment that will require two hours. We pick Mary up at home, drop her off at the medical center, stop by the post office to mail a letter for her, then head to the grocery store to do Mary’s shopping. We head back to her medical appointment to pick her up on time, then drive her to her apartment where we carry her groceries in and put them away in the fridge for her… and maybe even prepare her dinner. After making sure that Mary’s home or apartment is safely locked for the night, we text Mary’s daughter to let her know that Mary is OK and we head back to the office. Another good deed done, and it feels good to help. Got a Mary in your life? Call Liberty! Sincerely, Me ;-) Liberty Phillips Chief Errand Officer (CEO) www.LibertyErrandService.com GIVE THE GIFT OF TIME!
