Hi, Liberty Phillips here.
This week I thought I’d share some fun, personal thoughts about growing this business. When I started Liberty Errand Service I tried to imagine all of the helpful things that we could do to assist busy families and small businesses. My dad and I made a list of all of the chores, errands and services that we could provide, and then—since a tidy list is a happy list!—we even alphabetized it… lol. Last week I wrote about how babysitting can apply, not just to children, but to cars and even to furnaces and appliances. As we started picking up clients and requests for our various errand and concierge services, we began receiving emails like the following: “Hi, Liberty. We’re leaving on vacation next week. Just curious. Could you come over and feed our dog twice a day? Maybe take her outdoors for a walk, throw a ball around and give her some exercise?” “Sure,” we said, “we’d love to.” Twice a day we stopped by to give a playful pooch some water, food and exercise, and a whole lot of love and attention. A week later we got this in our email from our favorite residential client: “Hi, Liberty. We’ll be out of town for a week. We have a guinea pig (name withheld to protect guinae pig privacy). Could you please feed him while you’re at our place doing your weekly cleaning and organization?” Absolutely! We whipped up a special salad of carrots, kale, spring mix, cranberry treats and vitamin C for optimal daily guinea pig nutrition! Then came this (wait for it…) “Hi Liberty, We’ll be out of town next week. Could you please stop by and take care of our two dogs, one cat, a bearded dragon, six parakeets, sixteen tropical fish and a frog?” I’ve attached detailed instructions on feeding for each.” So now we’re up to three dogs, one cat, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon, six parakeets, sixteen tropical fish and a frog. Maybe we should rebrand as Liberty’s Animal Farm? Why not? We adore animals of all size, shapes and descriptions! Heck, we’re more than happy to do ANYTHING for your family or small business that you could do yourself (if only there were 25 hours in a day ;-).
Sincerely, Me 😉 Liberty Phillips Chief Errand Officer (CEO) www.LibertyErrandService.com ABOUT Liberty Errand Service is a family and small business errand and concierge service dedicated to caring, quality service at a price you can afford.
